Home Remedies For Acne
Scars

Before you
start using potentially harmful drugs, I'd like
to recommend that you check out the
Acne No
More downloadable book with
videos: it's a holistic system that works
even with stubborn cysts.
If you are not keen on the more invasive
treatment procedures such as chemical peels,
dermabrasion or subcision, then you could look
at how to get rid of acne scars by using home
remedies. These may not be as effective for
particular types of scars, but can certainly
help to reduce shallow scarring and improve the
look of the skin.
I’ve found some interesting home remedies
that may be well worth giving a try.
Apply Active Manuka Honey To The
Skin
Active Manuka honey comes from New Zealand
and has been recently touted as a miracle
treatment for wounds. It contains amino acids,
vitamins and sugars which help to reduce
scarring and create a protective barrier over
the freshly growing tissue.

To apply the manuka honey, put one to two teaspoons on
sterile gauze, place the gauze over the scar and hold in place
with skin tape to avoid any leakage. You should change the
dressing every twelve hours, making sure to wash the affected
area gently with warm water before you do so. Try this daily
for three weeks and you’ll start to see a difference.
Squeeze The Juice Out Of Fresh Lemons
The simple lemon has long been used to lighten skin. It’s
also a great way to get rid of acne scars. Lemon juice contains
acid which stimulates the growth of new cells and causes them
look lighter. Try dabbing the lemon juice on your scars using a
cotton wool ball and let your skin soak it up before washing it
off. Do this everyday until you start seeing results.
Breathe In The Aroma!
Lavender and rosehip seed oils not only have beautiful
aromas, but are extremely valuable in treating skin complaints.
Lavender oil is often used to treat burns, wounds and scars,
whilst rosehip oil is high in essential fatty acids which are
known to reduce scar tissue. Mix ten drops of lavender oil into
25mil of rosehip seed oil, mix well and massage into the
affected areas twice a day.
Don’t Just Use Olive Oil In Cooking, Put It On Your
Skin
Olive oil is rich in omega oils and vitamins which is why
it’is recommended as part of a healthy diet. Did you know that
olive oil is great for the skin? It has a moisturizing quality
that softens the texture of the skin and reduces the visibility
of acne scars. Massage a small amount of oil into the skin
every day. Be sure to purchase good quality olive oil and to
keep it in the fridge. The best quality oil to use is organic
cold- pressed extra-virgin olive oil.
Put Some Salad On Your Face
An interesting home remedy is made by pulping down tomatoes
and cucumber into a paste like consistency. Then, you can use
the paste as a face mask. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin A which
is an antioxidant which helps to refresh and renew scarred and
damaged skin. Cucumber is said to sooth inflammation, refresh
the skin and heal acne scars.
A Delicious Face Mask
Another home remedy that can be used as a face mask is made
by mixing one tablespoon of sour cream, one tablespoon of
yogurt, one tablespoon of oatmeal and a few drops of lemon
juice together. Pat the mixture onto acne scars, leave on for
ten minutes, and then rinse off. Oatmeal has a number of skin
healing and soothing properties which can improve the
appearance of acne scars.
Hello Vera!
Finally, aloe vera gel has been found to have many
therapeutic properties that are very effective in treating acne
scars. If you have an aloe plant, then cut off the tip and
apply the pulp directly to the affected area and let the skin
absorb it. If you do not have an aloe plant, then aloe vera gel
can be bought in most drug or health food stores.
These are just a few suggested home remedies on how to get
rid of acne scars. If you would like to know about the system I
recommend then check out the Acne No More website.
